Peyton Manning was a good sport on Monday night.
During the Manning Megacast of Monday Night Football, featuring the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks, the former NFL quarterback paid his debt to little brother, Eli.
Peyton, who played at Tennessee, and Eli Manning, who starred at Ole Miss, bet on the outcome of the Oct. 16 game between their alma maters. The loser had to wear his brother’s team jersey during the broadcast.
“I thought throwing six interceptions was tough against the Chargers, but having to wear an Ole Miss jersey on national TV, having to broadcast the Saints-Seattle game - the two teams who beat me in the Super Bowl,” Manning started. “It just doesn’t get any better than this. Truly one of the greatest nights of my life.”

Peyton Manning, who rocked a No. 10 Ole Miss jersey, said he was hoping both offenses would run the ball, and, in the process, run the clock out of the first half. The bet was to wear the jersey for the first half only. As you can see, he could help but drink from a Tennessee tumbler.
On Oct. 16, Eli Manning threw the bet out on Twitter.
Peyt, you can’t run and you can’t hide. You wimped out on broadcasting the Ole Miss/UT game but you can’t bail on this- Ole Miss win you wear an Ole Miss Jersey the first have of MNF and vice versa. Don’t respond to this if you accept the bet.— Eli Manning (@EliManning) October 16, 2021
Archie Manning said last week one of the boys would pay up Monday night, while also discussing the Manning Megacast, his favorite Manning commercial and his grandson Arch’s Alabama recruitment.
The Ole Miss-Tennessee game was anything but normal.
Lane Kiffin tried to dodge a golf ball that was thrown in his direction, but he did snag a water bottle from the air in a way that would make Odell Beckham proud.
The Ole Miss coach dodged a golf ball thrown at him in the midst of a 20-minute delay as Volunteer fans bombarded the field with trash, caught a water bottle one-handed as he was leaving the field after then-No. 13 Mississippi held off Tennessee 31-26.
